Citizen Tsuyosa 37mm Expands with New Purple and Blue Dials

Citizen has just added two new color options to its growing Tsuyosa 37mm lineup: a rich deep purple (NJ0200-50W) and a dark, elegant blue (NJ0200-50M). These additions bring more variety to the compact automatic sports watch format that’s become increasingly popular, especially among those who prefer something slimmer and more refined on the wrist.

The case remains at 37mm across and just 11.5mm thick, crafted from stainless steel with a mostly brushed finish and a few polished touches to keep things visually balanced. The integrated bracelet keeps the look cohesive, and the smooth bezel helps it feel clean and minimal. One of the more unique touches is the fluted crown at 4 o’clock—easy to use, but tucked away enough to avoid digging into your wrist.

Both new dials continue with the sunburst texture found on the earlier ice blue, pink, and green versions. The purple stands out more—it shifts tone depending on the light, giving it a bit of personality—while the blue leans toward classic and versatile. Applied hour markers, a framed date at 3 o’clock with magnifier, and Lumibrite-filled hands make for a straightforward and legible layout. Small lume pips above each hour and a printed minute track keep it practical without feeling overdone.

Powering the watch is Citizen’s Miyota 8210 automatic movement. It offers hand-winding, hacking seconds, and a 42-hour power reserve. The movement is visible through a sapphire caseback—a nice touch at this price point.

The bracelet follows the same approach as the case: brushed links with polished center accents, and a folding clasp signed with the Citizen logo. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters, making it suitable for everyday wear.
