Fossil recently released two new limited edition watches in collaboration with Marvel — both priced at $295 and now completely sold out. The release included a Fantastic Four digital watch and a Galactus-themed analog model, each with its own packaging, enamel pin, and design approach.
These aren’t the first Marvel x Fossil watches we’ve seen, but they’re easily among the most interesting. The digital model leans into retro-futuristic sci-fi design, while the Galactus version brings full-on comic book artwork to the wrist. Here’s a closer look at both.
The Fantastic Four Digital Watch – Reed Richards Tech for the Wrist
The LE1210SET is Fossil’s take on a high-concept prop watch — designed as an authentic replica of Reed Richards’ wrist-computer from the upcoming Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four: First Steps film. It blends two timekeeping styles into one futuristic package: a dual-time display that combines a negative LCD digital module with a minimalist analog quartz readout using matte black disc hands.

The case is finished in stainless steel with a sharp, rectangular silhouette. It features dual-layered functionality, letting the digital display and analog components coexist on a clean, symmetrical layout. It’s powered by both a digital module and a quartz analog movement — not something you often see in fashion-focused collabs.
The strap is a black “tech suit” style band, slightly rubberized with a textured finish that ties into the Fantastic Four’s costume design. It completes the look while giving the watch a comfortable, modern feel on the wrist.

This piece feels more like in-universe Marvel tech than your typical merch. You could imagine this watch actually being part of the Fantastic Four’s toolkit. It also comes with a numbered custom caseback and ships in collector packaging with a Fantastic Four enamel pin included in the box.
The Galactus Watch – Bold, Colorful, Cosmic
The Galactus watch (LE1211SET) is a totally different approach — designed as a bold statement piece that’s every bit as massive and dramatic as the character it represents. Fossil went big here, literally: this model features an oversized 48mm stainless steel case finished in a striking lustrous purple hue.

At the center is a stylized dial showing a glowing silhouette of Galactus, set against a subtle starfield background. The artwork gives off the effect of a backlit comic frame, while still keeping enough negative space to remain wearable. The hands are classic three-hand quartz, simple in function but set against a complex visual layout.
The caseback is individually numbered and inlaid with official comic artwork, tying the release back to Galactus’ legacy in Marvel Comics. Although he isn’t part of the Fantastic Four team, he’s forever linked to them through his first appearance in Fantastic Four #48, one of the most iconic issues in Marvel history.

Despite the sheer size, the watch is surprisingly wearable thanks to short lugs and a curved case profile. Still, it’s a watch you wear when you want people to notice — this isn’t one you blend in with. Like the digital version, it comes in a custom display box with a Galactus enamel pin.
Why They Sold Out So Fast
These weren’t mass-market releases. Both watches were limited in quantity, released with minimal fanfare, and priced in that sweet spot where collectors take notice: $295. That price is high enough to feel premium but low enough to be accessible, especially for licensed Marvel merch with this level of execution.
It’s also clear that Fossil didn’t treat these as quick cash-grabs. Each watch has its own visual identity, custom packaging, and physical extras (the pins!)—all of which give them a collectible edge. The digital model especially feels like a sleeper hit: it’s wearable, unique, and just subtle enough to pass as cool tech even if you’re not flaunting your fandom.

Now that they’re sold out, prices will likely climb on the secondary market—though it’s too early to say by how much. What’s certain is that these releases struck a chord with both Marvel fans and casual collectors alike.
Final Thoughts
It’s refreshing to see a pop culture watch collab that actually tries something different. Rather than just throwing a superhero logo on a dial, Fossil gave each piece its own identity. The Fantastic Four model leans into world-building and props — it looks like it belongs in the MCU. The Galactus watch, on the other hand, leans full comic book, with oversized proportions and striking visuals.
Both are now sold out, but there’s a good chance we’ll see them pop up on the resale market. Whether prices spike or not, these are the kind of limited releases that stand out in a sea of generic collabs — especially for fans who appreciate watches with an actual story behind them.
