The most understated of the group, this edition pairs a sea-green dial with gold-colored hands and a matching deep green bezel. It reflects the richer, mellower tones of the ocean as daylight fades, bringing a vintage-inspired charm that’s easy on the wrist.

Sunset Red

Finally, the striking red dial with gold hands and a red bezel channels the fiery hues of the setting sun. It’s warm, eye-catching, and slightly more daring—an excellent option if you want a diver that stands out from the crowd.

The watch at the center of this vote is the Seiko Prospex SPB511, which maintains the core design DNA of the original 62MAS while modernizing it for everyday wear. The stainless steel case measures 40mm in diameter, 13mm thick, and has a lug-to-lug length of 47.6mm—making it comfortable for a wide range of wrists. It features a screw-down crown, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and a very respectable 300 meters of water resistance.

Inside ticks Seiko’s in-house Caliber 6R55 automatic movement, offering a robust 72-hour power reserve. The bracelet is stainless steel as well, with a refined clasp that includes micro-adjust for comfort on the go. All four dial variants also feature Seiko’s wave-textured dial pattern and classic dive watch layout, complete with bold markers and lumed syringe-style hands.

Personally, the Sunset Red stands out as my favorite—it’s bold, lively, and brings a fresh splash of color to the often underrepresented red diver category. The Sunrise Orange is a close second, with its vibrant charm and unique energy that really catches the eye. The Late Afternoon Green is great too, offering a clean, vintage-inspired look that’s easy to wear for any occasion. The Daytime Blue is amazing as well but feels a bit familiar—there are plenty of blue divers out there, so it doesn’t quite stand out as much as the other three.
